Description: This fast-paced farce by Ken Ludwig is set in 1953, following the chaotic lives of George and Charlotte Hay, fading stage actors performing in repertory in Buffalo, New York. When they hear that a famous film director might come to see their show and offer them a big break, everything spirals into comic mayhem. Mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, drunken mishaps, and a last-minute costume mix-up all lead to hilariously disastrous consequences. The play is a love letter to the theater, filled with slapstick humor, witty dialogue, and nonstop energy. | |
