Wait Until Dark is a classic suspense thriller play by Frederick Knott, first performed in 1966, about a recently blinded housewife, Susy Hendrix, who is terrorized in her Greenwich Village apartment by criminals searching for heroin hidden in a doll. The play, adapted into a famous film starring Audrey Hepburn, masterfully uses darkness and light as a central theme, as Susy uses her heightened senses and intelligence to outwit the con men in a battle of wits that culminates in a chilling climax.
